Job Description
Job Responsibilities
The Citadels Zucker Family School of Education invites applicants for an adjunct faculty position in the Division of Teacher Education. The selected applicant willsupervise preservice social studies education candidates(grades 712)during their student teaching experience. In addition to supervising and evaluating preservice candidates the selected applicantmay be expected toteach an internship seminar one evening per week in a formal class setting. The selected applicant must have availability during the day to complete observations of student teachers.
Minimum Qualifications
An earned masters or doctorate from an accredited university in teacher education curriculum and instruction or related field with specific emphasis in social studies education; at least three years of experience as a 712 social studies teacher and/or 712 certified professional in the area of social studies; ability to use and model technology as an instructional tool; ability to collaborate with local schools; and preparing professional educators to work in school environments.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated success as an instructor in higher education across multiple modalities (e.g. inperson or online).
