Reports to: Nan Hao Head of SupplierDevelopment

Location: Any of KONEs headquarters inEurope

KONE is now looking for a Procurement Risk Manager to jointheEurope Area Procurement team.

About the position

The Global Risk Management Manager Procurement holds a pivotalleading role in procurement to shape and execute robust riskmanagement processes in procurement activities. This positionintegrates strategic oversight with the operational activities ofprocurement risk management ensuring alignment with KONE riskmanagement framework and standards. The role demands a goodunderstanding of risk governance an ability to work withcrossfunctional teams and expertise in mitigating complexprocurement and supplier risks.

The manager serves as a key link between the procurementfunction category managers and KONEs risk management communityactively participating to maintain and develop KONEs resilienceand safeguard supply chain operations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a procurementcentric risk management inline with KONEs RISE strategy KONE risk management and purchasingpolicies
  • Embed advanced risk assessment methodologies into procurementprocesses and workflows to riskbased decisionmaking anrational resilience. Act as the primary coordinator for riskinitiatives across procurement categories and Areas.
  • Forge strong alliances with crossfunctional leaders in globalrisk management legal finance compliance and supply chain toachieve seamless risk mitigation.
  • Actively participate and contribute to KONEs global riskmanagement activities with internal stakeholders to exchange bestpractices align strategies and drive innovation.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the procurement communityoffering actionable insights into risk exposure and mitigationapproaches.
  • Lead sophisticated risk evaluations focusing on supplierdependency financial health regulatory compliance sustainabilitymetrics and other risk factors.
  • Timely monitor and provide necessary guidance on theimplementation of risk treatment actions on key procurementrisks
  • Proactively monitor and address emerging global risksincluding geopolitical shifts supply chain incidents andvulnerabilities.
  • Support within KPO the creation and implementation ofbusiness continuity plans and strategies to safeguard procurementoperations during crises.
  • Design and deploy targeted training programs to enhanceprocurement teams competencies in risk management.
  • Contribute to Global risk managements trainings and infosessions for increased supplier risk management awareness withinKONE globally.
  • Act as a mentor fostering risk awareness and empowering teamsto embed best practices in their operations.
  • Develop advanced dashboards and reporting systems to providerealtime visibility into risk metrics and trends.
  • Deliver comprehensive reporting and updates to seniorleadership synthesizing complex risk data into strategicrecommendations.
  • Drive innovation by identifying opportunities to refine riskmanagement processes and integrate cuttingedge solutions.
  • Conduct audits and evaluations to measure the effectiveness ofexisting controls and recommend improvements.

Required experience:

  • Masters degree in science or business administrationengineering supply chain management risk management or a relatedfield.
  • Over 5 years of progressive experience in risk managementprocurement or supply chain operations with a minimum of 3 yearsin a leadership or managerial role.
  • Demonstrated success in engaging with or managing globalcrossfunctional teams and leading complex projects.
  • Strategic foresight with the ability to translate vision intoactionable initiatives.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills enabling productivecollaboration with senior stakeholders across diverse functions andteams
  • Advanced proficiency in risk modeling data analytics anddigital platforms for risk monitoring and management.
  • Indepth understanding of global procurement landscapessupplier dynamics and sustainability frameworks.
  • Agility in prioritizing tasks and navigating highpressureenvironments with precision.
  • Fluent spoken and written in English
