Job Description

BBG Construction Law is a Denverbased boutiqueconstruction law firm founded on construction law expertise and industryexperience. We are thrilled to announce the expansion of our presence and teamin California! We have an immediateopening for a California licensed Litigation Attorney to join our growingteam in Southern California. Our clients include leaders in the construction industryand rely on us to litigate arbitrate or otherwise resolve complex disputesrelated to construction projects draft and negotiate highstakes highdollarconstruction agreements and advise project teams on high profile constructionprojects. Our work is intellectually challenging and fastpaced requiring thehighest level of performance and top talent.

ThisAssociate position will focus on working in a fastpaced teamorientedenvironment assisting industry leading clients in the resolution ofconstruction disputes. LitigationAssociates are empowered to assist with all phases of construction claims. Successful candidates should have a passionfor the construction industry. Relevant workexperience excellent academic credentials and strong interpersonal skills arerequired.

WHAT YOU WOULD DO:

  • Litigationarbitration mediation dispute resolution board actions and other disputeresolution related to construction contracts and/or projects.
  • Draftrevise and negotiate construction agreements.
  • Provideguidance on projectrelated legal matters including risk management andcompliance with regulations.
  • Utilizestrong legal research and writing skills to combine legal principles withpractical industry solutions.
  • Strategizewith project teams before during and after the construction phase ofprojects.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 37years of experience as an associate attorney.Preference for experience focused on construction law and/or forcandidates with nonlegal construction industry experience.
  • Must be admitted to practice law in ColoradoCalifornia Arizona or Oregon.
  • Workingknowledge of relevant constructionindustry topics such as mechanics lien lawincluding substitution bonds public contracting generally insuranceapplicable to construction projects and payment and performance bonds.
  • Familiarwith standard constructionindustry form agreements such as EJCDC AIAConsensusDocs DBIA CMAA.
  • Experienceproviding project support and contract administration.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

  • Base salary of $190k $230k based on experience
