While technology has reshaped consumer commerce the businesstobusiness (B2B) economy three times larger has lagged behind. B2B trade between manufacturers distributors and retailers rely on private networks through complex offline workflows ****including partner onboarding risk verification order placements invoicing payments financing insurance and reconciliation.
Much like how Shopify Stripe and Square have transformed consumer commerce we aim to do the same for B2B commerce. Today we serve tens of thousands of businesses in the US across industries such as glass steel automotive chemicals agriculture.
Were backed by leading technology investors including Index Ventures and Founder Fund and have recently raised our Series A financing.
We are hiring for our first Talent teammate. In this role youll partner closely with the founders and function leaders to hire the teammates that will make Nuvo a generational business. Youll be both a strategist and an operator youll build the recruiting processes and engine as well as operate as a fullcycle recruiter.
Youll be responsible for ensuring Nuvo hits our hiring goals. Youll work closely with hiring managers across all parts of the business our investors (and their Talent teams) and external supporting teammates like talent agencies to identify recruit and close the best candidates.
Build our Recruiting Engine: Partner with the founders to build the endtoend recruiting process. Own the operations of recruiting with a focus on referrals sourcing (see the next bullet) coordinating and candidate experience.
Sourcer Extraordinaire: Be creative in finding great candidates for various role leveraging Nuvos network and your own network. Be tenacious (and creative) in reaching out.
Define Manage & Improve Core Recruiting Metrics: Ensure the recruiting KPIs are measurable and put in place processes to improve metrics that are lagging.
Think for Scale: Identify ways to be recruit more successfully whether it be internal tooling or engaging with an agency and implement those ideas (with support from crossfunctional teams).
Candidate Advocate: Be the voice of candidate at Nuvo. Work to make candidates as successful as possible throughout the interview process.
Nuvos Next Sales Person: Be able to tell a really clear story about how a role and Nuvo is perfect for the candidate. Sell Nuvo as well as the founders.
Youre a Builder: You love building new processes or reshaping existing processes. The fact that a process doesnt exist doesnt make you nervous it excites you.
Youre Operationally Minded: You dont drop balls. Youve got systems to make sure that the core systems work they way they need to.
Youre Tenacious: Nuvo doesnt have a wellestablished brand (yet) so most of our hires come from referrals or outbound. Youre tenacious when it comes to building relationships with people who could become candidates.
Youve Worked at SeriesA Startups Before: Earlystage companies are a special beast. Youve worked with/in startups before.
Youre Collaborative: You thrive on feedback (and love giving it). You become the right hand (wo)man to the hiring managers you work with.
You can Source Coordinate and Recruit: Youll be the first Talent teammate at Nuvo so youll need to be able to pull from experience supporting across the recruiting pipeline.
