Job Description
Job Title: Estimator Large Loss Fire and Water Restoration Projects
Lawton Construction & Restoration is a leading provider of fire and water restoration services specializing in all sizes of commercial and thirdparty administrator (TPA) insurance projects. We are committed to delivering exceptional service and quality work ensuring our clients receive the best restoration solutions in a timely manner. Due to our continued growth we are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team and manage highprofile restoration projects.
Position Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Estimator with restoration industry experience to handle largescale commercial and TPA insurance restoration projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in estimating complex restoration projects possess deep knowledge of commercial insurance claims and demonstrate strong communication skills to work effectively with insurance adjusters contractors and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Estimate Preparation: Prepare clear accurate and detailed cost estimates for largescale restoration projects including damage assessment labor materials and equipment that fully align with project needs and insurance requirements.
Insurance Claims Expertise: Work closely with TPA insurance providers to evaluate damage prepare scope of work and ensure estimates comply with insurance protocols and guidelines.
Site Evaluation: Conduct onsite assessments to accurately evaluate the extent of damages identify potential hazards and assess the necessary restoration measures.
Collaborate with Project Managers: Work alongside project managers and contractors to align estimates with project timelines budgets and client expectations.
Client Interaction: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients providing support throughout the estimation and restoration process.
Documentation: Maintain precise records of estimates scope changes and communication with all parties involved.
Cost Control: Monitor project costs throughout the duration of the job to ensure they align with original estimates and work with project managers to resolve any discrepancies.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience estimating largescale commercial and/or insurance restoration projects.
Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the fire and water restoration industry including experience with emergency response mitigation and repair processes.
Technical Expertise: Proficient in using estimating software (e.g. Xactimate Symbility or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word etc..
Insurance Experience: Indepth knowledge of insurance processes policies and claims handling specifically related to fire and water damage restoration.
Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to assess damage and accurately estimate restoration costs while considering all variables (materials labor permits etc..
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with clients insurance adjusters and contractors.
Exemplary ProblemSolving: Ability to identify potential challenges in the restoration process and develop costeffective solutions.
Certifications: IICRC certification (Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification) preferred but not required.
Working Conditions:
Travel: Regular travel to job sites is required.
Work Environment: Primarily officebased with frequent visits to active restoration sites (indoor and outdoor)
Physical Requirements: Sitting standing and walking for long periods of time climbing a ladder walking on roof tops and/or uneven surfaces occasionally going into confined spaces.
