Description:
The Engineering Analyst serves as a data expert whose primary functions include applying data mining techniques to gather data from various sources (including geospatial work management technical records drawings and schematic datasets and sources) identifying patterns trends and anomalies within the data drawing meaningful conclusions and insights from the analysis and communicating them effectively to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify business problems through data analysis to develop solutions and recommendations.
- Clean transform and prepare data for analysis.
- Extract and compare data from multiple sources including databases and repositories.
- Exercise proficiency in programming languages such as SQL and Python or R.
- Ensure the accuracy and quality of data and analysis through process quality methodology.
- Systematically evaluate information identify patterns draw conclusions and make wellinformed decisions.
- Present data in a clear and concise manner using compelling data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
- Effectively communicate complex information to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Demonstrate leadership in business analysis including client interaction process design and requirements management.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering Technology Computer Science Data Science Business Analytics or a related technical discipline or equivalent experience. OR 5 years of documented experience performing the responsibilities listed above.
- Demonstrated proficiency and/or certification in SQL and Python or R.
