Job Description: Accountant (Remote Offshore)
Location: Remote (Offshore working EST hours)

Our mission is to empower people through compassionate care and support and we are looking for a skilled accountant with bookkeeping experience to join our growing team. As a remotebased offshore role the ideal candidate will work in Eastern Standard Time (EST) hours to ensure timely financial reporting and support.
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detailoriented accountant with strong bookkeeping skills to manage the financial operations of our business. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles and handson experience in bookkeeping financial reporting payroll and tax filings. This role is perfect for a selfdriven professional who thrives in a remote collaborative environment and can work independently while adhering to EST working hours.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain accurate financial records including accounts payable accounts receivable and general ledger entries.
Perform daytoday bookkeeping tasks such as data entry journal entries and reconciliation of bank accounts.
Prepare and process financial statements and reports ensuring compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
Reconcile bank statements and balance sheets to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
Process payroll for employees and contractors ensuring timely and accurate disbursements.
Assist with budgeting forecasting and financial planning processes.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate financial data and smooth operations.
Assist in the preparation and filing of taxes (federal state and local) and other compliance
related documents.
Perform monthend and yearend closing procedures.
Monitor and ensure timely billing and collections processes.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support decisionmaking.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as an accountant with a strong bookkeeping background.
Proven experience with QuickBooks (or similar accounting software such as Xero Wave or FreshBooks).
Strong understanding of accounting principles practices and procedures.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for financial analysis and reporting.
Detailoriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a remote setting.
Ability to work in EST hours (Eastern Standard Time).
Knowledge of payroll and tax compliance in the U.S. is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the healthcare or mental health services industry.
Familiarity with financial regulations and tax requirements in New York (NY).
Experience with financial systems integration or software implementation.
