Job Description
We are seeking anEmergency Veterinarian in Havlock NC. You will play a key role in managing emergency cases performing surgeries and providing highquality care in critical situations. You will work with a dedicated team of veterinary professionals to ensure the best outcomes for pets in need of urgent attention. This role is ideal for a veterinarian with experience in emergency care and a passion for making a difference during critical moments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide emergency medical and surgical care for critically ill or injured animals.
- Perform emergency diagnostics including radiography ultrasound and laboratory testing.
- Administer anesthesia and perform emergency surgeries as needed.
- Provide stabilization and lifesaving care for patients in critical condition.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding diagnoses treatment options and prognosis.
- Work closely with a team of veterinarians technicians and support staff to provide comprehensive emergency care.
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical records.
- Stay up to date with current emergency veterinary practices and procedures.
What Were Looking For:
- DVM or VMD from an accredited veterinary school.
- Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in North Carolina.
- A minimum of 23 years of experience in emergency or critical care veterinary medicine is preferred but new graduates with a strong background in emergency care may be considered.
- Strong diagnostic surgical and emergency care skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with pet owners and team members.
- Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced and highpressure environment.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to client care and animal wellbeing.
