Job Description
Location: Philadelphia PA 19104
Assignment Length: 13 weeks (with possibility of extension)
Open to Local & Travel Candidates
Position Highlights:
- Start Date: July 7 2025
- Work Hours: 8:30 AM 5:00 PM Monday Friday
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
- Weekly Pay Rate: $2720 $3000

Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Echosonographer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing various cardiac ultrasound modalities including transthoracic echo stress echo and assisting with transesophageal echo. Additionally the role involves preparing preliminary interpretation reports managing billing procedures handling study transmittals and supporting satellite sites.
Responsibilities:
- Performing echocardiograms in accordance with lab standards and meeting daily volume expectations.
- Responding to emergent exams in a timely manner.
- Following departmental workflows for reporting billing and standard daily performance.
- Ensuring patient care is provided in a safe clean quiet and secure environment adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Delivering developmentally appropriate care to pediatric patients.
- Participating in staff meetings research studies quality assurance activities and institutional initiatives.
- Assisting in teaching students fellows and new technicians.
Educational Requirements:
- Required Education: High School Diploma/GED
- Required Experience: At least 2 years of pediatric echocardiography experience
- Preferred Experience: 5 years of pediatric echocardiography experience
Certification Requirements:
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer in Pediatric Echocardiography (RDCSPE) through ARDMS
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer in Adult Echocardiography (RDCSAE) through ARDMS
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
- Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)

Certification must be obtained within 12 months of the start date.
Skills Required:
- Advanced knowledge of ultrasound physics and instrumentation.
- Advanced knowledge of cardiac anatomy physiology and pathology.
- Advanced proficiency in transthoracic echocardiography.
- High proficiency in operating ultrasound equipment and digital reporting software.
- Ability to travel to multiple work locations.
Travel & Local Considerations:
- Candidates residing 50 miles from the facility are eligible for travel pay.
