Job Description

Job Title: Sr. Jira Admin
Interview: Virtual
Job Location: Remote
Job Duration: 6 Months

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Jira Administrator to join the team.

The ideal candidate will have handson experience with Rally to Jira migration and a deep understanding of configuring and administering Jira Cloud. You will collaborate with the Agile Practice and Transformation Office teams to define scalable Jira usage models support tool integrations and drive process optimization for Agile delivery at scale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and lead the Rally to Jira migration strategy and in coordination with Agile Practice team
  • Support and enhance Planview to Jira integrations using Planview Hub
  • Manage Jira Cloud and Jira Service Management platform including configurations and customizations
  • Develop and automate administrative processes through scripting (Python Bash etc.
  • Support enterprisewide governance outreach and reporting efforts for Jira usage
  • Integrate Jira with thirdparty applications and tools via REST APIs and marketplace addons
  • Evaluate implement and manage Atlassian Marketplace plugins (e.g. ScriptRunner Zephyr)
  • Create comprehensive training documentation and usage guides for endusers and stakeholders

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5 years of handson experience managing and configuring Atlassian Jira Cloud and Jira Service Management
  • Proven experience with Rally to Jira migration
  • Strong understanding of Agile and Kanban methodologies
  • Proficiency with Atlassian Marketplace addons (e.g. ScriptRunner Zephyr)
  • Experience with API integrations custom workflows and automation rules
  • Strong scripting abilities (e.g. Bash Python or similar)
  • Ability to analyze complex systems identify inefficiencies and provide scalable solutions
  • Excellent documentation communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with other tools like Rally Trello and Planview PPM
  • Familiarity with ITSM/ITIL concepts including incident and problem management
  • Understanding of SSO identity/access management and license governance
  • Experience with largescale platform migrations and transformation initiatives
  • Prior involvement in platform governance and training material development
