Service Technician

Service Technician Essential Duties Include but not limited to the following:
- Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
- Diagnoses cause of most malfunctions and performs repair accurately.
- Follows workshop manual/WIS effectively for all diagnosis and repairs.
- Document all steps taken to diagnose and/or repair vehicle on RO.
- Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts accurately.
- Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer.
- Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
- Communicates with service advisor immediately if additional work is needed if work outlined is not needed or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
- Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order accurately.
- Road tests vehicles safely when required and documents road test results/mileage on RO.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Service Technician Education and/or Experience
- Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. OR
- Associate degree (A.A. or (AS) from community college or higher; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. OR
Relevant Certificates Licenses Registrations Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certifications
Service Technician Qualifications:
- At least 13 years working with European vehicles
- Works with fellow coworkers with a positive and teamoriented attitude
- Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
- Excellent organizational skills and time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail an accuracy
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction
- Ability to prioritize job duties to meet deadlines
- Must pass a preemployment drug test and background check.
- Acceptance by the dealerships Insurance Company as required
