Job Description

Position Summary:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial gears and gear drives or relevant industry end user experience in power transmission gear applications and will be responsible for growing sales in the region. The District Sales Manager will have a strong understanding of the local market and be able to build and maintain relationships with key customers in the Southern Louisiana Region (New Orleans Baton Rouge Lake Charles).

Responsibilities:

  • Developandmaintainacustomerbase forthesaleofindustrialgearsnewgeardrivesandgeardriverepairservices.
  • Conductmarketresearchandanalysistoidentifypotentialcustomersandopportunitiesforgrowth.
  • Developandexecutesalesstrategiestomeetorexceedsalestargets.
  • BuildandmaintainstrongrelationshipswithkeycustomersincludingOEMsdistributorsandendusers.
  • Collaboratewiththeengineeringandproductionteamstoensurethatcustomerneedsandrequirementsaremet.
  • Providetechnicalsupporttocustomersincludingtroubleshootingtrainingandproductdemonstrations.
  • Maintainaccurateanduptodaterecordsofallsalesactivitiesincludingcustomerinformationsalesvolumeandotherrelevantdata.
  • AttendindustrytradeshowsandeventstorepresentHorsburgh&Scottandpromoteitsproductsandservices.
Requirements:
  • Bachelorsdegreeinengineeringbusinessorarelatedfieldpreferred.
  • Minimumofthreetofiveyearsofexperienceinindustrialsalespreferablyintheindustrialgearrepairorpowertransmissionindustry.
  • Strongunderstandingofindustrialgearsnewgeardrivespowertransmissionproductsandgeardriverepairservices.
  • Proventrackrecordofmeetingorexceedingsalestargets.
  • Excellentcommunicationandinterpersonalskills.
  • Abilitytoworkindependentlyandaspartofateam.
  • ProficientinMicrosoftOfficeparticularlyExcelandPowerPoint.
  • FluencyinSpanishandEnglishisrequired.
  • ThisSalesRepresentativeroleisakeypositionwithinthecompanyandrequiresahighlevelofmotivationandcommitmenttoachievingsalesgoals.Theidealcandidatewillbeaselfstarterwithaproventrackrecordofsuccessinindustryandtheabilitytoworkeffectivelyinafastpaceddynamicenvironment.
  • Mustbecapableforperformingtheessentialfunctionsofthepositionwithorwithoutreasonableaccommodation.
