Our client a global platform that connects African students to worldclass online education opportunities from top high schools and universities in the US UK and Canada is seeking to hire an Education Counsellor (STEM Track). This role involves offering expert academic and career guidance to students pursuing STEM fields. Additionally the Education Counsellor will act as a trusted advisor to schools and parents assisting them with subject selection academic planning and university admissions for global destinations.
Key responsibilities:
- Support students in career discovery especially for sciencerelated professions.
- Advise on subject selection aligned with global university requirements in STEM fields.
- Help students enrol in high school dual diplomas AP credits or ALevel science courses.
- Guide students in building academic portfolios including extracurricular activities and leadership opportunities in science and tech fields.
- Support scholarship planning essay reviews and preparation of admission documents.
- Partner with schools to support their students with worldclass academic planning.
- Conduct oneonone sessions with students and parents to provide tailored guidance.
- Collaborate with the sales/student success team to ensure parents and students understand the academic pathway they re buying into.
- Monitor student progress and provide mentorship throughout the journey.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree (or higher) in a sciencerelated field (Medicine Biology
- Chemistry Physics Engineering etc.
- Demonstrated understanding of science education and career pathways (locally and abroad).
- Strong knowledge of global university admission requirements (especially UK US and Canada).
- Prior experience in academic advising career counselling or education consulting is a plus.
- Empathetic studentcentered and a great communicator.
- Entrepreneurial mindset: proactive selfdriven and solutionsoriented.
