The salary range for this position is CAD $41.42/Hr. CAD $55.91/Hr.

As a Registered Nurse at Providence Health youll be at the forefront of patient care working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team to ensure patients/residents receive comprehensive support. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assess patients physical social spiritual and psychological needs.
  • Develop implement and evaluate individualized care plans.
  • Incorporate teaching into care plans to educate patients and families.
  • Make referrals to resources as needed.
  • Support fellow healthcare professionals.
  • Operate within the framework of Providence Health Cares mission vision and values.

Providence Health Care is excited to support nurses who have an interest in employer paid specialty education Funding will consist of 100 for tuition and books; and wages at rate of 100 of posted FTE. The length of the PostBasic Education is approximate.

Eligibility for PostBasic Education is open to applicant(s) with 12 years medical/surgical experience and who have not received PostBasic Education Funding from PHC for the past 2 years.

Applicants must successfully complete the PostBasic Education prior to working in the Department.

  • Current practicing registration as a BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)

Skills and Abilities:

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills ability to deal with others effectively.
  • Physical capability to perform the duties of the position.
  • Organizational skills to manage work effectively.
  • Proficiency in operating related equipment.

The Radiology Clinic at St. Pauls Hospital provides medical imaging used to diagnosis and help treat diseases. Imaging techniques include xray computed tomography (CT) mammography nuclear medicine ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

A radiology nurse also referred to as amedical imaging nurse is a nursing professional that cares for patients that must undergo diagnostic imaging procedures and radiation therapy through imaging tests medical professionals are able to see inside a patients body enabling them to easily diagnose illnesses and suspected injuries.Radiation therapy is also commonly used to treat certain illnesses such as cancer order to provide proper care radiology nurses not only focus on patient comfort but ensure that accurate images are being taken to help diagnose these injuries and illnesses.
