Operated by Healthscope Northern Beaches Hospital (NBH) is located in Frenchs Forest only 13kms north of Sydney CBD. The hospital is a contemporary 488 bed facility comprising of 60 public and 40 private beds. Providing a wide range of health services to the local community including Surgery a 50 bed Emergency Department Intensive Care Birthing Paediatrics Cardiac Mental Health Dialysis Cancer Centre and Outpatients. NBH has 13 operating theatres one hybrid/cardiac catheter theatre two Catheter Laboratories and four endoscopy procedure rooms all supported by a critical care unit which includes two intensive care wards.
About the Role
Senior Physiotherapist Level 3 (ICU & Critical Care) Permanent FullTime 76 hours per fortnight)
As the Senior Level 3 Physiotherapist ICU and Critical Care you will be responsible for providing a highquality physiotherapy service to the Northern Beaches Hospital as part of the wider Physiotherapy team. The position will oversee the ICU coronary care unit and critical care clinical areas of Northern Beaches Hospital. The Physiotherapy team at Northern Beaches Hospital provides a 7day service to all inpatient areas these include but are not limited to: intensive care orthopaedics surgical wards neurosciences and neurosurgery cardiothoracics general medicine and the emergency department. This position will include participation in a weekend and public holiday roster.
Essential Criteria:
Degree in Physiotherapy and current registration with AHPRA
Minimum of 2 years clinical experience working in Intensive care and Critical Care Physiotherapy
Demonstrated provision of excellent clinical care related to patient assessment treatment discharge planning and contemporary evidencebased practice in Physiotherapy
Demonstrated ability and previous experience in providing leadership to a designated clinical area
Demonstrated participation in driving service development and quality improvement within a Physiotherapy Department
Ability to work with other senior staff and Physiotherapy Manager on issues such as workload and staff management and strategic planning Experience in providing supervision and mentoring to junior Physiotherapy staff and students
Excellent time management communication and organisation skills
