- Opportunity to practice in the Cedar Rapids community and to have the multiregional collaboration support with other UnityPoint Neurosurgeons
- Large patient referral base from our primary care clinics
- Clinical staff support plus 1 first assist PA and clinic advanced practitioner
- Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination
Responsibilities
- Average of 2025 patients per day during a full clinic day
- Average of 810 Surgical cases per week
- 8 days of call required per month; Additional stipend pay for above 8 days
- Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve
- Specialty care/surgical procedures: Spinal Carpal tunnel stimulators and pumps
- Evaluates interprets and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care
- Patientfocused friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) analytical and problemsolving skills
Qualifications
- MD or DO
- American Board Eligible or Board Certified in Neurosurgery
- Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Iowa
- Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physicians field of practice
- Eligible to work in the United States (H1B cap exempt)
