Job Description
Flux core and arc welder:Welds structural materials such as plates sheets girders tanks etc. occasionally involving uncommon structural metals or machine metals under close tolerances of heat application and workmanship
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- 5 years of experience in structural steel or fabrication welding.
- Must be capable of welding to AWS D1.5 quality and specifications.
- Must be capable of passing fracture critical inspections.
- Must possess good communication and customer service skills.
- Must be able to read and understand shop fabrication drawings and be able to layout fitup and form material according to the prints.
- Must have a good understanding of welding symbols.
- Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.
- Must be physically able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.
Preferred Requirements
- Prior bridge work experience.
- Experience in overhead crane operation.
