Commencement Date: Tuesday 22 April 2025

Employment Types:Term time role with flexibility in hours (up to 31 per week school terms only)

Salary Range: SOF Level 3 $33.17 to $34.58 Gross per hour

About the Role

Opportunities are available for candidates with handson trade workshop experience or demonstrated experience working with First Nations students. This is a term time role with flexibility in hours (up to 31 per week) therefore applicants seeking fulltime or parttime hours are encouraged to apply.

As a Diverse Learning Officer you will provide vital pastoral and learning support to students while assisting teachers and students throughout the school learning environment. We actively encourage First Nations applicants to join our community.

Under the direction of teaching staff the Diverse Learning Officer will:

  • Maintain appropriate behaviours when engaging with children.
  • Work in classrooms with teachers providing support for students.
  • Assist students to engage in learning and assessment as directed by the classroom teacher.
  • Liaise with teachers to determine the progress and wellbeing of students at the College.
  • Support students with a variety of diverse needs including specific cognitive sensory and physical needs as well as students for whom English is an additional language.
  • Support mobility impaired students.
  • Assist the coordination and promotion of cultural education events activities and programs within the College community.
  • Operate audiovisual aids duplicating issuing learning materials and clerical duties.
  • Be part of a team of educators committed to excellence.
