The MatSu VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic is a healthcare facility serving veterans in Wasilla Alaska. It is part of the Alaska VA Healthcare System and provides outpatient medical services to eligible veterans. The clinic is located at 865 North Seward Meridian Parkway Wasilla AK 99654.
This lowcomplexity facility offers various healthcare services including primary care outpatient care telehealth and coordinated care. It has adopted two healthcare innovations aimed at improving veteran services particularly in areas such as access to care continuity of care and emergency care

Onsite Primary Care Physician Service
This refers to a physicianbased primary care service available at a specific location (such as a VA medical facility nursing home or workplace). An onsite primary care physician provides routine checkups chronic disease management urgent care and preventive services directly at the facility eliminating the need for patients to visit external clinics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver highquality primary care to VA beneficiaries
- Diagnose manage and treat acute and chronic conditions
- Follow American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) guidelines
Qualifications:
- BC/BE in Internal Medicine or Family Practice
- Active/Eligible for state medical licensure
- Experience with VA healthcare services is a plus
