Job Description
Your Team:
As a Principal Product Designer at Teya you will be responsible for shaping and overseeing the design of our entire product ecosystem ensuring a seamless and engaging experience across all touch points. You will play a critical role in defining the future of banking at Teya collaborating closely with crossfunctional teams to drive innovation and design excellence.
This role is perfect for someone who has had past management experience but is looking to return to an individual contributor (IC) rolesomeone who thrives on building but has managed teams in the past. While this role is handson you will also help develop designers within the team mentoring and guiding others to grow their design expertise.
On a regular day as a Principal Product Designer you will:
Lead EndtoEnd Design: Oversee and craft highquality experiences across the entire product portfolio including onboarding payments acquiring localisation content and the help centre.
Mentor and Guide: Support and train designers helping them develop leadership skills and elevate their craft.
Design System Governance: Maintain and evolve Teyas design system to ensure consistency across all bankingrelated interfaces.
Fintech Expertise: Apply deep financial services knowledge to solve complex user problems particularly in sales management settlements acquiring and merchant reconciliation.
User Research: Conduct and interpret user research to inform and validate design decisions.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with product managers engineers and leadership to align design strategies with business goals.
Qualifications :
Your Story:
Experience: You have at least 8 years of experience in product design with a history of managing teams in the past but are now seeking a handson ICfocused role.
Fintech Experience: Deep expertise in financial services is a must including sales management settlements acquiring and merchant reconciliation.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Figma and familiarity with project management tools such as Jira and Confluence.
Crafting Excellence: A strong design portfolio showcasing highquality wellcrafted experiences across multiple products.
People Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to mentor and elevate other designers.
Strategic Thinking: Ability to operate at both a high strategic level and a detailed level.
Collaboration: Experience working in agile crossfunctional teams with engineers product managers and stakeholders.
