Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled experienced and strategic Senior Software Engineer to be a leader within our Software Development Team in the Refining IT organization. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in Software Development strong Azure development skills DevSecOps knowledge and a deep understanding of application security best practices. Additionally excellent leadership and strong communication skills are essential. This role demands an influencer who champions Software Development best practices continuous improvement and automation. The successful candidate will drive innovation within the department and ensure our development processes are efficient secure and modern.
This position belongs to a family of jobs with increasing responsibility competency and skill level. Actual position title and pay grade will be based on the selected candidates experience and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Champions continuous improvement mindset and automation of software engineering processes.
- Drives process excellence and innovative Software Engineering by empowering others collaborating taking appropriate risk and making timely decisions within scope of responsibility.
- Mentors less experienced team members and accelerates software engineering maturity by modeling and encouraging ongoing learning and selfdevelopment.
- Leads efforts from endtoend through delegation review and driving results holistically; leads medium complexity features from technical design through completion.
- Executes a defined software engineering roadmap contributing to the organizations engineering and technology strategy.
- Performs coding debugging testing and troubleshooting throughout the development process in projects with moderate to high complexity under limited or no supervision.
- Identifies and recommends improvements to the software development lifecycle and best practices in agile engineering.
- Conducts demos of application features and designs features to support automated testability. Conducts research design and prototyping and experience on a crossfunctional team.
- Works with users to translate designs and solution architecture into design specifications within Azure DevOps (ADO).
- Organizes the delivery of highquality innovative solutions or deliverables setting effort estimates and continuously collaborating and updating the specifications in line with user requirements.
- Coordinates and implements new architectures standards methods and logic for enterprise software in accordance with business strategies and specifications.
- Partners with Refining IT architecture organization to efficiently and effectively design modernize and implement applications.
- Ensures proper documentation of software design and works with business partners to design and implement solutions to meet architecture standards.
- Designs and develops reusable software components to accelerate delivery timelines and drive efficiency while effectively influencing teams to adopt and integrate them into their workflows.
- Communicates ideas and information both verbally and in writing clearly and credibly.
Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science Information Technology or related field required.
- 5 years of experience in application and software development is required.
- Experience as a fullstack developer with a strong focus on the Microsoft technology stack including C# Blazor MudBlazor .NET Core .NET Framework 4.7 and 4.8 Entity Framework Core (EF Core) and Microsoft SQL Server. Proficiency in Azure cloud services Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for building Platform as a Service (PaaS) solutions and unit testing is highly preferred.
- Understanding of Agile development methodologies software release management and DevSecOps principles practices and pipelines is preferred.
- AZ900 and AZ204 Certifications are a plus.

- Log Monitoring Logging and monitoring are crucial aspects of software development that involve capturing and analyzing information about a software systems behavior performance and errors.
- Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) A process used by the software industry to design develop and test high quality software.
- Software Testing An investigation conducted to provide stakeholders with information about the quality of the software product or service under test.
- Version Control System Software tool that helps engineers and other collaborators manage changes to source code documents and other files over time
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors Degree in Information Technology related field or equivalent experience.
5 years of relevant experience
