Key Responsibilities:

In this role you will independently perform and report on a variety of specialised cardiac ultrasound investigations including transthoracic contrast bubble study 3D Dobutamine and exercise stress echocardiograms. You will also assist with transoesophageal echocardiograms. Your role will involve providing technical expertise in echocardiography supporting specialist echo techniques and participating in invasive procedures requiring echo support. Additionally you will play a crucial role in training and assessing junior staff contributing to the development and delivery of training plans. Weekend working may be required to support the provision of sevenday diagnostic services.

Qualifications and Experience:

Degree in Clinical Physiology or equivalent (e.g. OTEC/ONC in MPPM)
British Society of Echocardiography (BSE) accreditation or equivalent
Registration with the RCCP or equivalent
Proficiency in performing and reporting a range of specialized echocardiograms (e.g. transthoracic contrast bubble study 3D Dobutamine exercise stress and transoesophageal echocardiograms)
Experience in training and assessing junior staff
Strong technical expertise in echocardiography and invasive procedures requiring echo support
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Willingness to work weekends to support sevenday diagnostic services
