The licensed clinical social worker will provide inpatient or outpatient therapy to children and adolescents in the Psychiatry Faculty Practice (PFP) at Upstate Medical Universitys Department of Psychiatry. In addition to clinical work the social worker will have a leadership position and help to develop and expand an outpatient/inpatient child and adolescent psychotherapy practice within the PFP. Responsibilities include providing individual and family psychotherapy and providing supervision and leadership to social workers in the practice. The social worker will work closely with the mental health team (childpsychiatrist child psychologist social workers and NPs) to develop and run an effective child and adolescent service. The social worker will attend yearly hospitalrequired performance evaluations and will maintain needed Continuing Education credits by attending Department of Psychiatry Grand Rounds and outside conferences.
New York State LCSWC or C eligible social worker from an accredited training program with a practice focus on children adolescents and families. Experience working on a multidisciplinary team and supervising clinical social workers preferred.
