TRU gives students the advantage of small class sizes the availability of undergraduate research and a centrally located campus. More than 26000 students study at TRU either on campus or online. They consist of 10 per cent Indigenous students and more than 30 per cent international students from around the globe.

As a research university TRU supports faculty through the Office of Research and Graduate studies with opportunities for funding and research development. We are at an exciting stage of growth with a new Nursing and Population Health building that includes state of the art simulation labs and research Centre for Brain Health and Wellness. We are seeking dynamic team players to meet the educational needs of the healthcare system. Currently the School of Nursing offers MN MNNP BScN PN (Williams Lake only) and HCA programs.

The School of Nursing seeks applications for two 2 Tripartite tenure track positions with a potential start date of July 1 2024 or as mutually agreed.

Successful candidates with a tripartite appointment will teach theory and practice courses in the undergraduate and graduate programs have a developed program of research/scholarship and engage in service to the university and community.



Requirements
  • PhD or other doctorate; consideration may be given to doctoral candidates who will complete their degree by the appointment date or shortly thereafter;
  • Holds a minimum of one 1 degree in nursing;
  • Five 5 years full time or equivalent hours nursing experience;
  • Evidence of a program of scholarship/research;
  • Evidence of continuous learning in your area of nursing;
  • Experience teaching theory and clinical practice;
  • An understanding of and experience in the Canadian healthcare system;
  • Current BCCNM registration in good standing without limits or conditions or eligibility for registration with BCCNM prior to appointment
