About the Role
As the Senior IT Technician you will take the lead in managing and mentoring the tech team while providing expert onsite support for clients. This role involves overseeing technical support and maintaining IT infrastructure while contributing to the strategic direction of the department. You will handle complex IT challenges lead projects manage key accounts and be integral in building and developing the tech team. Your leadership will be crucial in ensuring seamless service delivery and operational efficiency while remaining handson with system installations troubleshooting and client management.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and mentor the tech team overseeing their daily tasks and providing technical guidance.
Manage key client accounts providing ongoing support and ensuring their IT infrastructure operates seamlessly.
Handle complex IT support issues providing onsite solutions for hardware and software problems.
Install configure and troubleshoot IT equipment such as desktops laptops printers and networking devices.
Perform routine maintenance and upgrades to ensure systems are operating optimally.
Set up manage and maintain networks including switches routers and firewalls.
Work in server rooms and data centres managing racking cabling and configuration.
Document systems and service activities to maintain accurate records of support and configurations.
Stay current with industry trends and technologies to improve service delivery and support team development.
Lead key technical projects ensuring completion on time and within scope.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience in an IT MSP environment.
Advanced expertise in Windows Server 2012 R2 and above).
Proficiency in both Windows and macOS operating systems.
Strong knowledge of Active Directory DNS DHCP and related technologies.
Experience with VMware vSphere 6.5 and HyperV.
Knowledge of storage systems such as SANs and NAS devices.
Valid drivers licence and reliable vehicle for onsite visits.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications such as CompTIA A Network MCSA or MCSE.
Experience with Microsoft Azure Exchange/O365 and Veeam.
Familiarity with cybersecurity tools and best practices.
