Adjunct Positions: Computer Science Spartanburg Methodist College invites applications forparttime adjunct faculty positions in Computer Science beginning August 12th 2025. The successful candidate will teach one to three inperson or online sections. Preference will be given to candidates who are able to teach inperson. Courses could include Introduction to Computer Technology Introduction to Computer Science and Programming and Algorithmic Design. The start date may be for current or future semesters. Contracts may be renewed on a semesterbysemester basis pending enrollment instructor availability and student success. The successful candidate will: - Hold a PhD MA or MS in Computer Science Information Systems or Information Technology or an Masters degree with 18 graduate hours in either Computer Science Information Systems or Information Technology.
- Possess strong communication skills.
- Have experience with Course Management Systems such as Blackboard Canvas or D2L.
- Be firmly committed to highquality instruction for firstgeneration college students and be familiar with best practices in active learning pedagogies.
- Have demonstrable successful experience as a teacher (college level preferred).
