Job Description
Overview/ Job Responsibilities
Sev1Tech is seeking a talented and detailoriented Technical Writer at the Senior level to join our team. As a Technical Writer you will play a vital role in creating clear and concise documentation for technical processes products and systems.
Responsibilities:
- Advises manages and mentors personnel assigned to technical documentation function.
- Interfaces with engineers and technical professionals in writing editing and publishing various types of documents (e.g. test plans test reports survey reports).
- Oversees inhouse production flow of technical publications. Tracks and monitors flow of all documents from inception to distribution of final copies. Identifies and corrects problem areas as they arise.
- Provides final quality assurance check for all document deliverables.
- Participates in department and companywide proposal writing projects. Often serves as proposal coordinator for large production efforts.
- Utilizes appropriate computer software for document production. Investigates and implements best ways to produce documentation electronically.
- Provides seniorlevel technical writing/editing support to other Company contracts when workloads permit.
- Directs classification indexing cataloging and storage of books periodicals papers microfilms classified reports and documents stored on various media including electronic Engineer.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must have a SECRET level clearance
- Bachelors or advanced degree from an accredited academic institution or military school in English or Journalism
- A minimum of eight 8 years of experience producing technical documentation on programs supporting projects of similar scope and complexity to this requirement.
