The IT Specialist II is responsible for driving superior client service and employee engagement in addition to coaching training and development of their team through the Geek Squad Citys (GSC) internal IT helpdesk. Responsibilities include maintaining GSC IT/IS network and hardware and addressing outages. Maintains inventory of all GSC electronic assets. This role is also responsible for overseeing the daytoday needs of the team.
Key accountabilities:
Leadership:
Coaches develops and trains current team members on performance expectations
Provides input and insight on talent evaluations and performance development discussions
Onboards and trains new team members
Establishes and maintains a positive work environment that will promote creativity safety staff development personal growth and high engagement
Executes change management within the team as required
Business:
Ensures all department metrics are met by monitoring individual and team productivity
Ensures compliance of all department SOPs
Department:
Responsible for rapid response to internal employees
Information Systems request
Provided support for Telecommunications and Call Centers including client side software soft phones reporting call management call recording and server side call recording and administration
Special projects as requested and may delegate tasks to Tier I (IT Specialist)
Will communicate and work with vendors and Corporate IT teams for solutions
Server Administration and maintenance of EMC Windows Apple and other proprietary systems
Administration of GSC SharePoint and Active Directory Systems
Research and development of new systems to reduce costs and increase efficiencies
Organizes and initiates procurement deployment installation and repair of hardware
Initiates Operating System deployment and software installation
Basic Qualifications:
1 year of experience in customer service or helpdesk
1 year of experience in advanced PC hardware and software troubleshooting
2 years of experience with troubleshooting issues related to Windows and Microsoft Office products
2 years of experience with Windows systems administration
1 year of experience with Business Networking Systems and Networking Fundamentals
1 year of experience conducting independent troubleshooting
Preferred Qualifications:
6 months of experience in a supervisory and/or leadership position
1 year of experience with Windows Server Administration
2 years of experience in advanced PC hardware and software troubleshooting
3 years of experience with troubleshooting issues related to Windows and Microsoft Office products
3 years of experience with Windows systems administration
Associates Degree in related field (or equivalent experience)
