Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a highly skilled Jr. Sr. Level Java Developer to join our team of qualified and diverse professionals. The ideal candidates will support our DHS customer and play a vital role in supporting our development team as we build the next generation of customer engagement systems for federal service agencies. Required to be local to Colorado Springs area.
Location: OnSite Tuesday Thursday.
Day to Day Work Responsibilities:
- Build Web and backendapplication/services for credentialing/case management system.
- Use Java/Spring based REST APIs along with a Web 2.0 framework and a continuous integration environment.
- Develop create and modify software applications or specialized utility programs.
- Analyze user needs and develop software solutions.
- Design software or customize software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency.
- Work with customers to obtain and formalize new and changing requirements.
- Incorporate third party open source tools where appropriate.
- Complete coding tasks (with assistance as needed) at a professional level.
- Identify areas that require refactoring.
- Write both technical and nontechnical documentation.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree and 2 years experience or Associates degree and 4 years experience or HS diploma/equivalent and 6 years experience.
- US Citizenship required (no dual citizenship).
- Must have an Active Secret clearance to be considered.
- Requires Java development experience to build enterprise applications.
- Experience with using Java development tools (e.g. Eclipse JUnit Git).
- Recent experience developing and implementing software solutions using one or more of the following:
- AngularJS HTML CSS JavaScript Bootstrap and Java.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a large scale Federal IT Program.
- Experience with SAFe Agile delivery framework.
