This is an onsite position based in Ellendale ND. Relocation assistance is provided for those outside a 50mile radius.
Salary: $108160 $135200/yr and 10 annual bonus
Hours: 7am3pm Monday Friday
Controls Subject Matter Expert:
This role involves ensuring the reliability and quality of the Building Management System (BMS) within our global fleet of data centers. The ideal candidate will contribute to daily operations support quality initiatives and possess a working understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Take accountabilities for all BMS changes and enhancements globally ensuring alignment with data center operations
- Follow standards for safe work practices concerning BMS and SCADA system practices
- Diagnose and rectify complex control system malfunctions demonstrating proficiency in various electronic or digital control systems
- Troubleshoot and repair controls hardware including controllers relays measurement devices and actuators in collaboration with mechanical and electrical device systems
- Troubleshoot and document controls and monitoring system objectives to maximize energy efficiency
- Analyze operating equipment data for efficiency improvements monitoring and adjusting building systems for optimal performance
- Collaborate across disciplines to modify BMS settings and manage building space effectively
- Supervise control vendors overseeing system configurations and component upgrades to support site operations.
- Provide QAQC oversight for hardware installation reviewing proposals and programming through the commissioning process for new construction and retrofits as required
- Ensure the integrity of system configurations and component upgrades adhering to best practices and change control processes.
- Deliver technical controls training and support to Facility Operations staff.
- Oversee all system configurations and component upgrades to ensure system integrity is maintained and that all modifications to existing systems are following best practices including change control processes
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Outlook)
- Able to read and understand electrical and mechanical manuals CAD drawings and blueprints
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required for working effectively with team members vendors and customers on daily data center management
- 57 years experience in mission critical environments with a heavy emphasis on building controls and monitoring or relevant military operations preferred
- Working knowledge of mechanical electrical and life safety systems associated with critical environments
- Good written technical proficiency to support the creation and revision of process documentation (MOPs SOPs and EOPs)
- Problemsolving and analysis skills for evaluating a situation identifying solutions and working with leadership and teammates to resolve
- Experience working in a highly collaborative crossfunctional environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Expertise surpassing the role of a field technician encompassing areas such as project management project engineering and operations management.
- PLC experience
- Experience with software programming languages
- IT/Networking baseline and understanding
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment up to 40lbs.
- Ability to climb ladders and multiple flights of stairs to access elevated equipment
- Ability to stand for long periods of time in various work environments
- Ability to bend stoop kneel and reach for equipment related tasks
- Basic physical fitness to respond quickly to emergency situations and navigate areas quickly
- Ability to move quickly and efficiently withing various work environments to troubleshoot issues or respond to emergencies.
- Good handeye coordination and dexterity for working with small components and connectors
- Clear vision with or without correction to perform tasks requiring attention to detail and precision while wearing safety glasses
- Ability to differentiate between colorcoded warning signs labels and cables
- Ability to work in environments with a wide variety temperature inside a facility
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions including extreme temperatures rain or snow
- Capability to work in environments with elevated noise levels while wearing hearing protection
- Possession of a valid drivers license for workrelated travel as required
Site Location:We operate a 24hour facility where work hours (shifts) are assigned as needed to ensure job functions are performed satisfactorily compliance is maintained and the company operates efficiently. Certain positions as specified in your offer letter may require working irregular hours such as nights weekends overtime alternating shifts and under various conditions including outdoor work during extreme weather or in hazardous environments.
