THE PRACTICE
VENTURA COUNTY MEDICAL CENTER Ventura CA
Ventura County Medical Center (VCMC) is a 229 bed fullyintegrated comprehensive system of hospital clinic and specialty services. VCMC is noted for its renowned Family Medicine Residency Program and is distinguished as the only Ventura County academic teaching hospital with a residency affiliated with UCLA School of Medicine. VCMC is the designated Level II Trauma Center for the west county and is known for its extraordinary trauma team. Due to the patient population Spanishspeaking is preferred.
Inpatient Services (Hillmont Psychiatric Center)
- 43 bed unit
- 7 on 7 off schedule
- 10 hour shifts 7 AM 5 PM PT)
- Physician will see approximately 15 patients per shift

THE AREA
- Ventura County comprises the OxnardThousand OaksVentura CA Metropolitan Statistical Area which is also included in the Los AngelesLong Beach CA Combined Statistical Area. It is also considered the southernmost county along the California Central Coast. There are 555953 acres 224986 ha) outside of national forest land in Ventura County. North of Highway 126 the county is mountainous and mostly uninhabited and contains some of the most unspoiled rugged and inaccessible wilderness remaining in southern California. Small coastal mountains rim Ventura County on its landward side.
