Description

As a Logistics Technician II you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective movement of goods within our supply chain. Your responsibilities will include managing inventory coordinating shipments and maintaining accurate records. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills to ensure timely delivery of products and materials and troubleshoot logistical issues are essential for success in this role.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor the shipping schedule using the active ERP system to stay informed about customer requirements for parts needing external subcontracting processes such as heat treating vapor degreasing and threading and expedite these parts through internal processes to ensure timely delivery to subcontractors.
  • Demonstrated ability to pack and ship via various internal and external carriers to meet customer requirements.
  • Prioritize and expedite orders from subcontractors by requesting faster deliveries to meet customer requirements. Maintain and coordinate necessary purchase order documentation and receive materials from subcontractors vendors and others with proper documentation and update MRP postings accordingly.
  • Fulfills Get Requests from production by promptly pulling delivering and transacting all required materials.
  • Proven ability to accurately and thoroughly complete all paperwork including certificates MSOs and receivers and posts transactions in ERP system.
  • Notifies the Quality Department upon return of priority product for inspection to meet customer orders.
  • Loads and unloads trucks and other delivery trucks and operates any company vehicle including lift trucks hand trucks and all other material handling equipment.
  • Receives raw material (metal) records purchase order receipts completes skid tags moves material to the proper storage location and posts required information in the ERP system.
  • Transports lubricants raw materials inprocess parts shipping containers tools supplies and other manufacturing supplies to and from production and storage areas.
  • Transports s containers and logs their weight. Maintains post completes final reconciliation of the s log and contacts s dealer when pickup is needed and provides required documentation.
  • Conducts inventory of packaging supplies and recommends reordering as needed.
  • Performs forklift safety checks daily and records results on the checklist.
  • Demonstrated ability to pack parts and prepare shipments shipping out of ERP inventory while verifying customer requirements and completing all required documents.
  • Perform proper handling and labeling of hazardous materials as directed by supervisor. This includes performing hazardous waste (and PPC) site inspections forwarding the completed inspection forms weekly to the required document control person.
  • For International shipments:
    • Prepare all export documents and complete the following tasks if necessary:
    • Files an EEI.
    • Creates and includes all documents required by specific forwarder and customer.
    • Follow all procedures for shipping with an export license.
  • Is competent in all shipping procedures including special carrier shipments filed online or with manual paperwork (Bills of Lading etc.
  • Inspects outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy completeness and condition of shipments.
  • Executes daily / weekly / monthly cycle counts as assigned.
  • Report immediately all suspicious and hazardous conditions to a supervisor.
  • Understand and observe all safety guidelines and assure quality and safety by complying with all appropriate Click Bond policies and procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining clean orderly and hazard free work areas.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision be a selfstarter and be detail oriented.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Possesses a valid drivers license.
  • Exhibits strong computer skills.
  • Displays adequate math skills.
  • Communicate effectively with others.
  • Ability to read and write English.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent General Education Diploma (GED).
  • 35 years experience in a logistics inventory control or shipping and receiving position preferably in a manufacturing environment.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
