Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
MW Components Inc is a leading manufacturer of cold headed fasteners which has a fulltime position available for a Draftsman/Drafter/CAD. The successful candidate must have experience creating drawings with AutoCad in a commercial office environment.
REPORTING TO
Tooling Engineer
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Create and modify detailed engineering drawings of fasteners using AutoCAD software.
- Develop and maintain accurate and uptodate product drawings and specifications.
- Generate bills of materials (BOMs) and other related documentation.
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to ensure drawing accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Assist in the development and implementation of drafting standards and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized drawing library.
- Stay abreast of the latest industry trends and technologies in drafting and design.
SKILLS and ABILITIES
- Proficient in AutoCad.
- Experience as an AutoCAD Draftsman in a manufacturing environment (preferably in the fastener industry).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365/MS Office Suite.
- Some industry experience with fasteners
- Ability to read understand and transfer details from customer drawings to shop drawings.
- Superb organizational skills
- Ability to work with others.
- Excellent communication skills
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
- Associates degree or equivalent in Drafting Mechanical Engineering Technology or a related field.
