Job Description
To provide evidence based physiotherapy services in accordance with the code of Professional Conduct as set down by the Australian Physiotherapy Association.
Physiotherapist
We are seeking a caring Physiotherapist to join our dedicated team at Corryong Health. This position is well supported and would ideally suit a graduate or an individual looking to gain further experience. In this role you will:
- Provide physiotherapy services across various areas including:
- Acute care inpatient services work in a multidisciplinary team to provide patient centered care and support discharge planning
- Outpatient services provide assessments develop treatment plans and deliver evidence based interventions for patients referred to physiotherapy
- Residential aged care assess residents and work with care staff to optimize physical functioning
- Falls prevention programs assess fall risks and design interventions to improve balance strength and mobility to reduce falls
- Treat patients with conditions such as musculoskeletal injuries neurological cardiovascular and pulmonary disorders
- Use physical and electrical modalities in patient treatments
- Assess and evaluate programs and treatments using relevant outcome measures and patient goals
- Participate in coordinated care programs with other health professionals
- Work with patients and families to implement home exercise programs
- Complete accurate clinical records of assessments treatments and patient progress
- Develop and deliver preventative health and wellness initiatives
Requirements: To join our team you must:
- Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) or equivalent
- Current registration as a Physiotherapist with the Australian Health Practitioners Registration Agency (AHPRA)
- Full Australian working rights
- Excellent interpersonal written and verbal communication skills
- Provide a National Police Check dated within 3 months.
- Willingness to obtain and provide a NDIS Workers Screening Check WorkingWithChildren Check and proof of immunization against infectious diseases.
