About The Moore

The Moore is a landmark destination in the Miami Design District comprised of a private members club hotel and a collection of restaurants retail exhibition event and office space. Housed in the Districts circa1922 Moore building the reimagined nearly 90000squarefoot space integrates two fourstory structures located at the intersection of NE 40th Street and NE 2nd Avenue and includes Elastika the sitespecific commission created by the late artist and architect Zaha Hadid for the inaugural Design Miami/ exhibition in 2005.

The redevelopment of The Moore is led by boutique hospitality firm and operator WoodHouse. Founded by entrepreneur Brady Wood WoodHouse creates owns and operates experiential concepts ranging from private clubs restaurants and hotels to live music and entertainment venues.

About Elastika:

Elastika is a contemporary restaurant anchoring the first floor of the landmark Moore building in the heart of Miami Design District. Led by Executive Chef Joe Anthony Elastika offers a global approach to modern American cuisine.

Position Overview

As a Barista you will be responsible for preparing and serving highquality coffee and espresso drinks to our guests. You will work closely with the restaurant team to ensure an excellent guest experience maintain a clean and organized work area and provide outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks including espresso cappuccinos lattes and other specialty beverages according to standard recipes.
• Ensure that coffee and espresso machines are functioning properly and maintained regularly.
• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner take orders and provide personalized recommendations when necessary.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment including the coffee station dining area and utensils.
• Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans milk syrups and other ingredients and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
• Assist in maintaining the restaurants atmosphere by keeping the space clean inviting and conducive to a pleasant dining experience.
• Collaborate with kitchen and service staff to ensure timely and efficient service during busy periods.
• Comply with all health and safety regulations including proper food handling sanitation and cleanliness protocols.
• Attend training sessions to stay updated on new coffee trends and techniques.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service resolve any customer complaints and maintain a positive attitude at all times.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar customer service role preferred.
• Strong knowledge of coffee preparation espresso machines and coffee beans.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fastpaced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly and approachable demeanor with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
• Basic math skills for handling cash and processing transactions.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Flexible availability including weekends and holidays.
