Job Description
Position Summary:
The Welder is responsible for welding of fabricated parts to print and specifications. Prepare steel cast iron aluminum and stainlesssteel material and parts for weld.
Work Youll Do:
Produce and maintain consistent quality of work dress and grind parts after welding.
Demonstrate flexibility when confronted with high stress emergency situation priority changes or new assignments.
Prepare steel parts for arc gas or Tig/mig welding. Weld materials of limited thickness where finished weld is not stressed.
Work safely and in an environmentally responsible manner practice good communications. Recommend improvements for area products and processes.
Interact professionally with customers in the plant job report correctly and in a timely manner.
Team:
In this position you will be a valued addition to our Fabrication and Paint Dept where you will support welding of fabricated parts for the plant.
Basic Qualifications:
High school education or relevant technical school training.
3 years experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be at least 18 years of age
Preferred Qualifications:
Mig/ Tig Experience up to 5 years
Being able to identify metric measuring welding systems and blueprints
Being able to identify weld symbols
A weld test will be required before they interview.
Metric Measuring required
Certificate of completion from technical school or welding certification.
