Job Description
Tax Accounting and reporting to the US
- Assist with the preparation and coordination of the quarterly and annual US corporate tax reporting for the European Coherent companies and reporting to the US tax department
- Support with the preparation and coordination of the annual current and deferred corporate tax provision for the European Coherent companies and coordination of tasks with external tax advisors
- Reporting to the US tax department; support the US tax department with the statutory audit of the European tax provision
Transfer pricing
- Support in any transfer pricing matters
Tax field audits
- Coordinate the tax field audits work coordinate information flow between entities and support with the preparation of responses to tax audit questions
- Review tax audit reports and assessment notices following the tax audit
Day to day tax related matters
- Support European Coherent companies in all day to day tax matters
- Assist with intercompany transactions and restructurings from a corporate tax point of view
- Assist with M&A transactions
- Assist with the integration of acquired entities from a tax point of view
- Support SOX and substantive external audit reviews to ensure compliance
Qualification:
- 35 years of relevant professional working experience in a multinational company or in a public accounting firm
- Substantiated knowledge with German and European corporate related tax matters (international tax experience).
- University degree in Taxes Finance Accounting or Economics; qualification as German tax advisor (Steuerberater) desired but not needed.
- Strong analytical problem solving and critical thinking skills with the ability to work in a fast paced deadline driven environment independently
- Team player and selforganized
- Excel skills Oracle skills desired
- Fluency in English and German; other European languages are appreciated
