This position primarily works behind a counter in the parts department. Physical requirements of this role include:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
Ability to sit for extended periods of time
This position is scheduled as follows:
MF 7:30am 5:00pm
JOB SUMMARY
As a Parts Advisor your role is essential to the success of the parts department and Schulte Subaru as a whole. You will be responsible for accurately receiving and stocking parts and accessories and ensuring the parts are available for technicians and customers. The Parts Advisor is responsible for answering incoming calls as well as greeting guests in a kind professional manner. You will also be responsible for completing other tasks as assigned by the Parts Manager.
A TYPICAL DAY JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Answer or refer inquiries of customers providing price quotes payment processing credit authorization and other information as needed
Assist service technicians and customers in purchasing needed parts and supplies
Locate available parts when the dealership is out of stock
Track all incoming and outgoing parts for the dealership
Refer to parts manuals to identify exactly the right part(s) for the make model and year of the vehicles being serviced
Perform other department duties such as stocking parts pulling/shipping returns and warranty sping/returning
Complete weekly bin checks to ensure accuracy of stock and notify Parts Manager of discrepancies between inventory records and shelf quantities
Assist the parts team and management with other tasks and events as needed
A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE HAS
Parts counter person experience preferred
A professional presence in person and over the phone
Organization and accurate record keeping skills
Team oriented mindset and positive attitude
