Job Summary:
The Coordinator of Academic Support and Programs K12 is a vital and supportive member of the PCSD team working collaboratively with educators support staff and administration to achieve the shared goal of ensuring all students receive the education they need to succeed both today and tomorrow. This role is performed within a office environment overseen by the Executive Director K5 Teaching & Learning where teamwork and dedication to student success are paramount.
All staff are expected to fully adhere to the ethical standards set forth by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission continuously demonstrating a strong understanding of the tasks and responsibilities their roles require. Moreover they must embody the core belief that every action we take is driven by a commitment to the best interests of our students.

Primary Function: The Coordinator of Academic Support and Programs guides the continuous multilevel instructional improvement process to support the diverse learning needs of students K12. The role oversees develops and implements innovative academic supports interventions recognitions and educational programs that support the holistic growth of students. This position supports district and local school leaders in datadriven processes that inform instructional decisions including delivery models strategies resources and scheduling. The coordinator ensures that students in grades K12 receive equitable and targeted support for intervention. The coordinator serves as a liaison between Teaching & Learning ESEP ESOL and other relevant departments to align instructional supports within the MTSS/intervention framework and facilitate communication across departments in support of the whole child.

Qualifications:
Must hold or be eligible for a Georgia Level 5 certificate or higher. Educational Leadership certification preferred.
Minimum five 5 years of teaching experience
Leadership experience at the local school preferred.
Strong knowledge of K12 evidencebased instructional strategies curriculum and programs.
Demonstrated proficiency in managing and utilizing educational software and technology platforms
Demonstrated experience with leading professional development and/or program implementation
Ability to use data to guide instructional decisionmaking
Excellent communication organization and interpersonal skills
The Board of Education and the Superintendent may accept alternatives to some of the above requirements.
Essential Functions:
Collaborates with district leadership including the Executive Director of K5 Teaching & Learning literacy and math teams and others to align academic support strategies and programs with the districts strategic plan to promote student success.
Maintains a close working relationship with schoolbased and districtlevel administrators to build cohesive plans for instructional improvement and ensure effective communication across disciplines and programs.
Maintains extensive knowledge of current educational trends practices and research particularly in wholechild development and targeted intervention strategies.
Champions and communicates a comprehensive approach to student development and wellbeing.
Facilitates communication and alignment between Teaching & Learning ESEP ESOL technology and other departments to support the wholechild approach to academic supports.
Assists in the development implementation and maintenance of integrated curriculum instruction and assessment programs that meet the diverse learning needs of students K12.
Manages and supports the selection implementation and utilization of educational software programs and platforms related to instruction assessment and intervention.
Develops pilots and implements innovative instructional strategies interventions and educational programs that support the holistic growth of students.
Assists school administrators and teachers in utilizing multiple data sources to inform instructional decisions regarding delivery models resources and scheduling.
Provides leadership in utilizing data to inform instructional decisions regarding interventions and instructional support programs and communicates results effectively to school leaders and teachers.
Supports the monitoring of accurate scheduling and FTE coding for students receiving interventions.
Models and provides professional learning on evidencebased instructional strategies differentiated instruction and integrating support services and interventions into the classroom.
Supports and provides professional learning on the use of districtadopted assessment platforms.
Provides leadership in monitoring the progress of students receiving interventions providing reports on program effectiveness and adjusting strategies as needed.
Facilitates the budget process for instructional interventions formative assessments and academic programs including acquiring quotes managing vendor relationships communicating with IT and maintaining required public information.
Supports Executive Directors in developing the annual instructional resource budget textbook adoption and inventory processes.
Maintains the Teaching and Learning Divisions website social media accounts and online resources in partnership with Instructional Technology and Public Relations.
Maintains clear lines of communication with the IT Department to ensure timely and effective collaboration on electronic instructional resources and equipment adoptions and purchases.
Serves as the Teaching and Learning designee on the Instructional Technology Review Committee to support the adoption and effective implementation of educational programs platforms and software. Relays school adoption requests to the appropriate coordinator and Executive Director for content review.
Fosters a positive districtwide culture of high performance and academic achievement by envisioning planning and implementing districtwide academic celebrations recognitions and events in partnership with division leadership.
Possess the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
Ensures compliance with all federal state and local laws and board policies.
