Location: Remote Flyin Camp Nunavut
Rotation: 3 weeks on 3 weeks off
Background Checks: Drug & Alcohol screening and criminal record check will be conducted
Position Overview:
Tamatta Mining one of our esteemed clients is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator (HEO)/Driver to join their team at a remote flyin camp in Nunavut. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in loading and unloading planes on the airstrip and delivering materials around the site.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain frontend loaders forklifts and flatbed trucks to facilitate material handling.
- Safely load and unload aircraft ensuring all materials are handled according to safety protocols.
- Transport materials and equipment to various locations onsite as required.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Follow all safety regulations and company policies while performing job duties.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks and ensure efficiency.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Heavy Equipment Operator Certification
- Valid Class 3 drivers license with air endorsement.
- Proficient in operating frontend loaders forklifts and flatbed trucks.
- Experience driving manual transmission vehicles.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and protocols in a remote work environment.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding role and adapt to changing work conditions.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Working Conditions:
- This position is based in a remote camp environment with a 3week on 3week off rotation.
- Candidates must be comfortable living and working in isolated conditions.
- Adherence to safety protocols and regulations is mandatory.
