We are seeking a dynamic teamoriented and caring individual to join our spirited team.
The Workforce Career Counselor is responsible for identifying coaching and connecting unemployed individuals to career and training services and reattachment to the workforce.
Responsibilities
Provide individualized case management and career counseling to participants in all areas related to gaining and/or retaining employment and career advancement
Develop and update a customized service plan to align with participant employment and training goals
Followup with partner agencies to ensure successful engagement in prescribed support services
Counsel motivate and encourage assigned caseload of participants to develop and guide through a customized career pathway and training opportunities
Perform outreach to participants during job search and job retention through offsite appointments to employers satellite site locations and community visits
Maintain organized tracking by documenting all participant interactions contacts activities case notes and files
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in social services counseling or education preferred or Bachelors degree in similar areas with experience in counseling of individuals and families
Case management experience preferred
Ability to interact with a diverse range of individuals and demonstrate a positive professional attitude
Must have access to reliable transportation
Bilingual skills or experience working with ESL populations a plus
