Four days on / Four days off rolling shift pattern. A rotation of four early shifts four days off and then four late shifts. To include weekends and bank holidays.
Early shifts: 08:00 16:30
Late shifts: 13:30 22:00
Wokingham Young People Services provides 24/7 support for up to seven young people aged 1621 care leavers and looked after children.
Our aim is to support to young people with their individual needs to enable them to gain life skills to move on to lower or independent supported living.
This is a fast paced energetic service. If you are looking for an exciting role where youll be making a difference in the lives of those you support then this is the role for you!
The support worker role is to come alongside vulnerable young people and to assist them to learn independence maintain education or support with getting into work help the young people learn every day valuable life skills like budgeting cooking property maintenance tenancy skills.
The ideal candidate will have a good knowledge and understanding or ACEs and working in a trauma informed way. They will know about safeguarding and when to safeguard an adult or child and how to do this.
The ideal candidate will be able to keep up to date records case notes and to work with a young adult to develop a individualised support plan that is personalised to their support needs requirements.
Experience in working with young adults in a professional capacity is a preference and working to company policies and procedures is an essential

To lead on the case management of clients and be part of a team that supports them in keeping them safe and helping them achieve their goals.
To provide people with homes and specialist support so they feel more valued and secure and ready to take the next steps.
