Job Description
We are a wide format printing company in Nashville TN. We are seeking a shipping associate to help us pack and ship orders to our customers on a timely basis.The shipping associate makes sure that orders are packed accurately and safely so products are delivered on schedule.
- Builds boxes to prepare for daily shipments
- Helps keep daily record of shipping supplies as communicated by SOP
- Rolls and packages set hourly quantities of orders to meet SOP standards
- Packages products securely and accurately for delivery
- Interacts with shipping companies to receive and pick up orders
- Works closely with Purchasing Agent to ensure an accurate prompt receiving process for inventory and other packages
- Ships in order of priority and communicates discrepancies to SHIPPING SUPERVISOR
- Assists with warehouse related tasks to keep areas clean and organized
- Your primary responsibilities will involve working in the Shipping Department ensuring that orders are shipped out accurately and on time. You will work closely with finishing personnel to maintain efficient standardized protocols related to the timely delivery of products. You will report to the SHIPPING SUPERVISOR for related details including scheduling volume and SOP. You will support the finishing department with some finishing tasks as needed.
- Good attention to detail in fast paced environments
- Good with software systems and data entry
- Good with measuring time and priorities with multiple deadlines
- Good with repetitive processes
- Ability to understand and execute processes
- Willingness to grow and learn in the field of wide format printing.
- Possession of valid drivers license
- Ability to regularly lift 25 lbs. and occasionally lift 50 lbs.
