Job Description
General Information & Responsibilities
Black Hawk College seeks adjunct/parttime instructors for the Nursing Assistant Program at the Community Education Center in Kewanee IL.
Review of applications will begin immediately.
Description of Duties
Faculty memberis expected to encourage learning by preparing appropriate syllabi; by developing lectures discussions and other presentations or activities to enhance the students educational experience; develops and executes appropriate methods of evaluating students performance;develops secures and maintains the equipment and other instructional materials essential to the presentation of the classroom material.
Education & Experience
Registered nurse with current Illinois nursing license required. One year of clinical experience in longterm care nursing required. Teaching experience required or completion of Illinois Department of Public Health training program required prior to employment. Must be approved by the Illinois Department of Public Health for theory instruction clinical instruction and Alzheimers content.
Bachelor Degree in Nursing OR Associate Degree in Nursing PLUS completion of the Trainthetrainer course.
Current Illinois RN license.
Oral English proficiency required.

Minimum starting pay for adjunct faculty (as of Fall 2024
Less Than a Masters Degree $693.36 per equated hour
Masters Degree $808.92 per equated hour
Doctorate $866.70 per equated hour
