Position Overview
Provides personal care and health teaching under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to meet the needs of patient and family consistent with the policies and procedures of the Nursing Division and United Health ServicesHospitals. Promotesa caring and healing environment for patientcentered care. Under general direction observes and practices sterile technique maintains asepsisanticipatesand assists the surgeon as needed. Actively participates in patient care and safety. Utilizes OR supplies conservatively and operates as a team member of the OR staff.

Education/Experience
Minimum Required:
Graduated an accredited school of Practical Nursing
Preferred:
Previous clinical experience in a hospital setting
License/Certification
Minimum Required:
Current New York State Practical Nurse License or Permit
CPR Certification within 3 months of hire
