Speech and Language PathologistThe SpeechLanguage Therapist is accountable for providing diagnostic and therapeutic services to students with speech and language disorders consistent with the policies of the AtholRoyalston Regional School District and in compliance with state and federal Special Education regulations.The Speech and Language Therapist will function as an integral member of educational teams providing direct service consultation and evaluations to a range of students with special education needs. Therapists will carry acaseload as assigned by the Director of Pupil Services in conjunction with other team members and/or building administration. Therapists will provide services in an integrated manner utilizing 1:1 pullout services small groups and embedded classrooms and may work in conjunction with other providers and other significantly separate classrooms or in integrated settings as appropriate to the student caseload.Essential Functions/Duties:Responsible for following the student IEP and ensuring compliance with state and federal SPED regulations including the delivery of highquality services the provision of accommodations/modifications for instruction and assessment.Responsible for the evaluation diagnosis and treatment of communication disorders for students.Responsible for the preparation of written reports upon the completion of an evaluation and record keeping.To participate in team meetings. Supervision of SLPAsResponsible for communicating and collaborating with parents teachers and other school personnel to provide recommendations for class accommodations modifications and appropriate referrals.Responsible for the development and implementation of goals as specified in the students Individualized Educational Program.Responsible for monitoring and documenting progress towards IEP goals.Responsible for creating and coordinating a schedule of services for students to ensure all IEP requirements are met.The ability to keep logs of services to track information and to use data for Medicaid billing.Responsible for the promotion of equity and appreciation of diversity to ensure equitable opportunities for student learning in the least restrictive environment.To assist in the development of inservice training programs.Maintain and improve professional competence.Ensure student confidentiality.Other duties as assigned by the Director of Pupil Services Building Administrators and their designeesCompetency: Knowledge Skills and Abilities:Skills required to perform responsibilities effectively.Skills required to maintain registration licensure and certification status.Effective interpersonal oral and written communication skills.Starting Salary Range is $48062$88518 commensurate with degree and years of experience with a guaranteed minimum of $4500 pay increase in year 2.
