Role: Senior Risk Analyst
Asset Classes: Futures & Options

Location: London

Role:

Our department is seeking a senior risk analyst for our front office. The ideal candidate will work closely with senior risk managers to guide and refine our risk management strategies. As a part of our energetic team you will engage with a diverse array of asset classes and tackle complex risk challenges. This role involves handling daily risk management tasks contributing to the enhancement of risk tools models and procedures and supporting the design and implementation of new risk initiatives and products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform quantitative and statistical analysis to finetune and improve risk models
  • Ensure compliance with risk management policies and industry regulations
  • Assist in identifying areas for improvements in risk models procedures and systems
  • Improve documentation of risk processes and models
  • Prepare risk management reports for the board risk committees and regulators
  • Oversee model performance tests and assess model accuracy to ensure compliance with policies
  • Work closely with team members on policy and methodology development
  • Conduct project work and carry out market research on key risk topics
  • Mentor junior team members on risk protocols and practices

Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree in Mathematical Finance or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Proven experience in risk management as a risk analyst or similar role ideally within an investment bank hedge fund or clearing house
  • Indepth knowledge of financial derivatives across various asset classes
  • Experience with risk models such as Value at Risk Liquidity Risk backtesting and stress testing
  • Teamoriented mindset with excellent collaboration abilities
  • Research proficiency with the ability to identify analyze and resolve issues effectively and independently
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Familiarity with SQL and Python is preferred
