Summary: The NMSU Agricultural Experiment Station supports research that is addressing realworld problems. Research is at the core of NMSUs mission to improve upon the lives of people globally.
Classification Summary:
Responsible for overseeing business operations support in individual or multiple program area(s). Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the development and of management processes training and education on standard requirements and methods creating models to improve business decisions personnel functions labor and/or cost reporting document editing process quality control pricing tracking and management of documentation and/or automated processes.
Classification Standard Duties:
As appropriate may develop or assist in the development and maintenance of business reporting and management tools/processes. May supervise regular or temporary staff. Responsible for supervising business process transactions to ensure timely and accurate processing. May oversee and/or assist as appropriate in areas such as business finance planning scheduling contractual compliance cost management and proposal support.
Required Education Experience Certification/License Equivalency
Required Education:High School diploma or GED certificate.; Required Experience:Four 4 years of experience related to the standard duties as outlined.; Equivalency:Completion of a postsecondary degree or certificate may substitute for years of experience.; Required Certification/License:
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
KNOWLEDGE:Knowledge of general business principles and/or procedures. Knowledge of marketing strategies processes and available resources.; SKILLS:Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community. Skill in the use of computers preferably in a PC Windowsbased operating environment. Employee development and performance management skills.; ABILITIES:Ability to develop and maintain recordkeeping systems and procedures. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
This position will process all AES Directors Office budget actions such as labor distribution actions payments submittal of deposits journal voucher entries invoicing and purchases. Will assist in monitoring all fiscal actions/AES accounts by pulling monthly budget reports. Approval of all assigned AES procurement cards and reconciliation of AES cards (AES VERL assist with Tucumcari). Maintenance of AES calendars and scheduling of all Director Office meetings. Submittal of travel reimbursements advances and scheduling arrangements.
