Job Description
Job Title: Clinical Manager STAC
Exempt/Nonexempt: EXEMPT
Immediate Supervisor: Director of Clinical Services
Salary Range: $62000 $66000
Essential Functions:
1. Primarily responsible for designing implementing and evaluating therapeutic programs tailored to meet the specific needs and challenges of adolescents in a group home setting. Additionally reviews client records and caseloads to ensure compliance with Agency requirements for paperwork overseeing that all necessary documentation for services is of high quality and completed within established timelines.
2. Oversee the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans for residents. Monitor progress and adjust interventions as needed.
3. Conduct or oversee clinical assessments ensuring accurate diagnosis and treatment planning for adolescents with diverse mental health needs.
4. Conducts quarterly treatment reviews of all open clinical cases in their region and supports this forums importance as a key opportunity to engage all stakeholders in collaborative problem solving.
5. Oversees the utilization of outsourced clinical services identifying providers approving each referral to those providers and closely monitoring the quality and costs of purchased services.
6. Works closely with the regional Director of Child Welfare Services and the entire child welfare so that clinical services meet and exceed the expectations of that service.
7. Participates in the development and implementation of a responsible budget for services in their area. Regularly reviews and is constructively engaged with financial statements to cost effectively manage services.
8. Provide guidance and support in crisis situations ensuring the safety and wellbeing of residents. Collaborate with staff to implement crisis intervention strategies.
9. Conduct training sessions for staff on therapeutic modalities traumainformed care and best practices in adolescent mental health.
10. Collaborate with external mental health professionals educators and community resources to enhance the overall support system for residents.
11. Knowledgeable of the Council on Accreditation standards for their service and ensures that the service for which they are responsible meets those standards.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Ability Requirements:
Indepth knowledge of adolescent development mental health issues and evidencebased therapeutic interventions. Understanding and application of traumainformed care principles in a residential setting.
Ability to effectively manage and deescalate crisis situations involving adolescents.
Strong clinical supervision skills providing guidance support and mentorship to staff.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with staff residents and external partners.
Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree in psychology social work counseling or a related field required Masters or Doctoral preferred. Independent Licensed Professional in the State of Illinois (LCSW LCPC LMFT) required and must be qualified to provide LPHA services in Medicaid. Experience providing individual couple family and group counseling required. Experience working in a child welfare setting with youth and families with complex and severe trauma preferred. Experience in training preferred. Experience working with Medicaid documentation and billing preferred. Additional certifications and licenses in Family Therapy Substance Abuse Employee Assistance Programs and other specializations are a plus.
Physical Demands and Other Requirements:
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform the essential duties listed in the job description satisfactorily. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms. Capable of operating standard office equipment including a computer and keyboard and typical business machines such as a fax machine and copier. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 2030 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is required to have valid drivers license auto insurance and must be able to safely operate a motor vehicle. The work environment characteristics include a noise level which is usually low to moderate.

Supervision and Management:
Communicates regularly through individual supervisory and group meetings to implement Agency and programmatic goals and requirements. Provides accurate and timely feedback to each employee under his/her supervision and demonstrates ability to analyze employee performance. Facilitates a positive work environment where staff feel free to communicate openly. Responds to incidents and complaints in a timely manner and appropriately informs and consults with their chain of command.
Leadership:
Demonstrates foresight in recognizing problems and vision in identifying and implementing solutions. Ensures program is effective in producing desired outcomes and program goals and deliver services at required capacity. Demonstrates ability to quickly gather pertinent facts weigh options and make decisions in critical situations while informing and consulting with others as needed. Works with staff to support and implement management decisions.

Informs appropriate management staff when incident occurs or a crisis situation. Interacts effectively with all levels of clients staff interns volunteers and external stakeholders. Safety and Agency Resource Utilization:
Demonstrates sound judgement and foresight in safety awareness and in daily work. Notifies in a timely manner the supervisory chain of any incidents or circumstances that need attention. Report all suspicions or allegations of abuse immediately to their supervisor. Ensures appropriate utilization of materials and resources and minimizes waste
