    PRIMARY PURPOSE:
    The Apprentice Electrician assists the supervisor in the maintenance and operations of allelectrical systems in the district.

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    High School Graduate or GED required
    At least 1 year experience in electrical field
    Apprentice License
    Able to read blueprints and schematics
    Dependable and cooperative.
    Must have and maintain a valid drivers license and be insurable

    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
    Assist in electrical work in the district that requires a licensed electrician.
    Assists with repairs and new installations that are acceptable to the building code and/or localcity ordinance.
    Responsible for successfully completing all work orders and submit to office staff in a timelymanner.
    Performs all duties in a safe manner to avoid injury to oneself and/or to others.
    Maintain and repair lighting & power equipment including interior/exterior lighting.
    Perform other related duties as assigned.

    EQUIPMENT USED:
    Electric power tools district vehicle twoway radio aerial lift trenching machines

    WORKING CONDITION:
    Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:

    Strenuous walking standing and/or climbing; heavy lifting and carrying.
    Work outsideand inside; exposure to extreme weather conditions; working on slippery or uneven walking surfaces;working on ladders and scaffolding.
